The Lodge offers a classic stay while the Residences offer peak seclusion and privacy with full service and access to all High Alpine Safari adventures. For guests who want to sleep deeper in the landscape, an overnight at one of our Outposts Cabins can be added as a backcountry expedition during your safari.
The Lodge

The Lodge is home to 16 guestrooms, our Dining Room, The Great Room with a stone fireplace and spaces to gather and settle in. It is a place you return to after a day in the field, where friends are waiting, gear gets sorted, and tomorrow’s plan is solidified over a thoughtful meal. With spaces for gaming, quiet corners, and direct access to the wellness cottage, it’s the heart of a stay at Trinchera.

Private Reserve Residences
The Reserve Residences at Trinchera are ideal for families, multigenerational trips, and small groups who want a feel of a private home. You still have access to the full High Alpine Safari, chef-prepared meals, and all lodge amenities–with a greater level of privacy and a dedicated team to quietly facilitate any details of your stay. Both Reserve Residences comfortably accommodate 8 guests included in the nightly rate. Lake House can accept up to 12 for an additional fee.
Cat Mountain House

Perched high above the San Luis Valley at roughly 8,750 feet, Cat Mountain House is a private home for families and small groups who want wide views across the valley, space to gather, and a little separation from The Lodge at the end of the day. A sprawling terrace patio, a game room, a library, and an outdoor hot tub under a canopy of stars are yours to enjoy.

Lake House

Lake House is a private residence tucked along the edge of a mountain lake with the peaks on the horizon. A main house plus a guest house gives groups room to spread out, with a great room, game room, and a wrap-around porch to take in the views of Trinchera’s three 14,000-foot peaks. Rates include occupancy up to 8 guests; an additional fee applies for up to 12.

Outpost Overnights
Outpost Cabins are seasonal, experience-driven hideaways set deeper in the Reserve. A night in the backcountry might look like a steady hike to Stone Cabin, a rewarding dinner by firelight, and hitting the ridgeline at first light followed by a stone basin soak. These overnights are seasonal and planned as part of your High Alpine Safari rather than a permanent accommodation.
